Work meetings with Slovakian and Czech Ombudsman

In her capacity as Secretary General of the International Ombudsman Institute, Ombudsperson Gaby Schwarz welcomed the Public Defender of Rights of the Slovak Republic, Mr Róbert Dobrovodský, and the Public Defender of Rights of the Czech Republic, Mr Stanislav Křeček, for two work meetings at the Austrian Ombudsman Board.

“The exchange with international counterparts, especially from our neighbouring countries, is very important to me. We can achieve further improvements regarding the protection and promotion of human rights only by working together closely”, said Gaby Schwarz. During the work meetings, the ombudspersons discussed, among others, to further the exchange of experiences in their work as National Preventive Mechanisms and National Human Rights Institutions.
